| Walnut Creek is a dynamic
mix of open space, residential areas, an active business
community, parks, entertainment and recreation. It's often
called the 'hub of the wheel' since it is conveniently located
at the intersection of highways 680 and 24. See the slide

Rossmoor,
a planned community for active adults over 55, is located here
too.
Broadway Plaza
is an upscale shopping area with
Nordstroms, Macys, Crate & Barrel, and many other specialty
shops. Recent projects include Plaza Escuela, Broadway
Pointe, Olympic Place, The
Corners, and a new 14 screen Century Theater plus upscale condos and
apartments.
The Regional Center For the Arts
is home to local theater and
an art gallery. Catch a glimpse of the rolling hills, green in
the spring and golden in the fall. Homes in Walnut Creek remain
affordable though most average 25 years old or more. New
construction is much more expensive. The schools are excellent
and it is another great community for families and kids.
