| Martinez is the County seat
of Contra Costa County and is situated on the Sacramento River
Delta. There are waterfront areas available for boating and
fishing. The downtown is older and charming with a wealth of
antique shops. Rich in California history, Martinez is enjoying
a resurgence in popularity though still boasts affordable
housing. New home construction is becoming more plentiful too.
The John Muir House, included in the pictures above, was the
home of the noted naturalist. |
