| Lafayette is a
small, upscale community that now bustles with shops and
restaurants. Many of the homes are older and charming with large
lots. Lafayette prices are on the high side and there is little
new construction. Lafayette residents are loyal and wouldn't
think of living anywhere else. Schools are excellent and
transportation is easy via the Lafayette BART station and
Highway 24 to Oakland and San Francisco. The picture above shows
the Lafayette Reservoir, a popular recreation area.
